چکیده

The classification and taxonomy of the Polyporales have undergone tremendous change made significant progress in last ten years. A case point is Cerrenaceae that was created just five years earlier. This one smaller, lesser-known families with recognized genera well-defined supported by phylogenetic analyses but difficult to characterize morphology. Some species display a range basidiome habit, hymenophore configuration, hyphal system overlap from other Agaricales. In this study, we clarify morphological features distinguish conducting taxonomic studies Irpiciporus, Pseudolagarobasidium, Pseudospongipellis, Radulodon presenting keys accepted species. Generic descriptions for Irpiciporus are revised. Two new taxa described illustrated, namely, rajchenbergii Brazil Pseudospongipellis tomsovskyi southwestern United States. addition, four combinations proposed — africanus, I. decolorans, revolubilis, Pseudolagarobasidium cirrhatinum. acacia, India, placed synonymy under acaciicola, noharae, Japan, confirmed be synonym Lopharia mirabilis.

Species diversity in the Antrodia crassa group (Polyporales, Basidiomycota).

Antrodia is a polyphyletic genus, comprising brown-rot polypores with annual or short-lived perennial resupinate, dimitic basidiocarps. Here we focus on species that are closely related to Antrodia crassa, and investigate their phylogeny and species delimitation using geographic, ecological, morphological and molecular data (ITS and LSU rDNA, tef1). Phylogenetic analyses distinguished four clad...

Re-evaluation of the Genus Antrodia (Polyporales, Basidiomycota) in Korea

The wood decay fungi Antrodia P. Karst. play important ecological roles and have significant industrial and economic impacts as both wood degraders and sources of pharmaceutical and biotechnological products. Although each Antrodia species has distinct morphological characteristics, the misidentification rate is especially high due to their simple morphological characters. A combination of morp...

Polypores and genus concepts in Phanerochaetaceae (Polyporales, Basidiomycota)

We explored whether DNA-phylogeny-based and morphology-based genus concepts can be reconciled in the basidiomycete family Phanerochaetaceae. Our results show that macromorphology of fruiting bodies and hymenophore construction do not reflect monophyletic groups. However, by integrating micromorphology and re-defining genera, harmonization of DNA phylogeny and morphological genus concepts is pos...

A revised family-level classification of the Polyporales (Basidiomycota).

Polyporales is strongly supported as a clade of Agaricomycetes, but the lack of a consensus higher-level classification within the group is a barrier to further taxonomic revision. We amplified nrLSU, nrITS, and rpb1 genes across the Polyporales, with a special focus on the latter. We combined the new sequences with molecular data generated during the PolyPEET project and performed Maximum Like...

A phylogenetic overview of the antrodia clade (Basidiomycota, Polyporales).

Phylogenetic relationships among members of the antrodia clade were investigated with molecular data from two nuclear ribosomal DNA regions, LSU and ITS. A total of 123 species representing 26 genera producing a brown rot were included in the present study. Three DNA datasets (combined LSU-ITS dataset, LSU dataset, ITS dataset) comprising sequences of 449 isolates were evaluated with three diff...
